I left my heart in Melbourne City
In 2016, I moved to Melbourne and was immediately captivated by its vibrant coffee and brunch culture. The city’s effortless blend of high-quality food and laid-back ambiance resonated with me deeply. However, it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that I discovered a new passion. With lockdowns in place and smoking sativa strains with ample time at home, I found solace in baking. Each day became an experiment in the kitchen, where I immersed myself in creating various baked goods.
Upon returning to Indonesia for good,
I faced the challenge of determining my next career move. The traditional 9-to-5 office environment didn’t appeal to me. However, this newfound hobby quickly evolved into a deeper appreciation for the art of baking.
Instead, I envisioned a path where I could combine my passion for baking with the rich culinary experiences I had in Melbourne. I began sharing my creations with friends, crafting cakes for birthdays and special occasions. Their positive feedback and encouragement planted the seed of a business idea.

Starting small, I participated in pop-up bazaars and accepted preorders, each endeavor teaching me valuable lessons. There were moments of failure—recipes that didn’t turn out as planned and the stresses inherent in starting a business—but these experiences only fueled my determination to improve. With each iteration, my skills sharpened, and my confidence grew.
